Roof rack was previously fitted to a 1955 Beetle
and original Empi/Lemmertz Sprint star wheels are waiting to be
fitted.
1300A Beetle (UK). Introduced to the UK market in
October 1972, withdrawn July 1973 (Production run of just 10 months).
This Beetle was originally a 1300A, which was the standard 1200
Beetle fitted with the 1300cc engine as standard. Being based on the
1200 means that it lacked the luxury trimmings: lack of trim down the
centre of the bonnet and no chrome trim in the window rubbers.
Quarter -lights were black. The roof lining does not cover the rear
window area, just the roof space.
